We are Bevin (Lono) & Shaleina (Leina) Kekoa. We started our journey with 101 Financial at the end of May 2015. Prior to 101 Financial, I (Leina) managed all of our finances because that’s what we are supposed to do, right? I thought I knew the in’s and out’s. I made sure everything was paid on time and any extra money was paid toward my balance as well. We were living pay check to pay check and it was all we knew until Alan Akina told us, “There is a better way!” Since then, we took off and never looked back! Within the first 3 months, we paid off more than $30,000 of student loans and credit card debt. It was all possible while still working the same jobs and earning the same wages. 6 months later we were able to purchase a brand new Toyota Tacoma. We were able to take several trips to Las Vegas, California, Virginia, North Carolina, Washington D.C., inter-island and NEW YORK CITY all PAID IN FULL prior to stepping foot on the plane. Our next big life change was finding out we were going to be parents! We knew financially we were going to be fine so we started saving to purchase property and Build a 3bed/2bath for our growing family. Today we, are proud Homeowners and now striving to pay our house off in less than the traditional 30 year fixed mortgage. My Goal is 10 but shooting for 7 or sooner! That’s the power of education! we HAVE control of our money and WE determine the success of our future. Thank you Alan Akina for educating us on how to bank smarter (NOT harder).
